Twitch streamer Nmplol faces backlash for “joke” about Texas floods

Twitch streamer Nick Polom, also known as Nmplol, has apologized for his comments about the July 2025 Texas floods. The flooding caused the Guadalupe River to overflow, leading to multiple flash flood emergencies. Polom made a joke about children during a livestream, asking if they were affected by the flooding.

He reassured the children that they had little left for anything and that AI would take over jobs when they grew up. Polom's apology comes after a conversation about AI taking over jobs and ChatGPT learning.
